Job Vacancy: General Manager - Customer Development

Our client is a brand leader with a high profile range of products providing a customer focused, time critical distribution service to the retail sector. Continuing growth and development in both the UK and Europe have created the need for this key position within the senior management team.

Reporting to the Operations Director, your brief will be to establish a support service to interface between the logistics function and companies within the Group. The emphasis will be on developing robust relationships with senior management in sales, buying, merchandising and finance to ensure
optimum service levels are achieved in the most cost effective way. You will represent the face of Logistics at meetings and make significant contributions to helping achieve company objectives through your creativity and flair in proposing innovative solutions.

Of graduate calibre, you will have had senior Account Management experience in the third party service sector developing robust client relationships with major fmcg organisations. With strong interpersonal and influencing skills, you will have the credibility and presence to gain stakeholder 'buy in'. Possessing an excellent understanding of systems and WMS, you will have the required intellect and presentation skills to balance priorities and ensure full commitment to courses of action.
