Job Vacancy: Shift Operations Manager

Our client is a major supplier of goods to the retail sector and is experiencing a huge uplift in volumes and as part of their ongoing development are seeking a Shift Manager for their distribution centre.

The role will focus on the effective management and use of resources for teams of c 60 personnel and will involve working early and late shifts on rota. You will be responsible for pick & pack, replenishment and processing operations ensuring the achievement of KPI's. Emphasis will also be placed on the development of the team, coaching and training to assist them in reaching their full potential. The shift pattern is permanent Thurs - Mon on a 3 shift basis.

Relevant warehouse management experience will have been gained with a 3PL company handling high volume goods for the retail sector. You will be able to demonstrate a record of successfully meeting demanding service levels in terms of accuracy and timeliness within a fast paced operation.
Your experience should have included experience of project work involving team development, communication meetings, quality circles, H&S and environmental issues through a programme of ongoing change.
