Part of a large group, the company are a major importer and distributor of consumer durables. This is a first line management position supervising a small team of Demand Co-ordinators to ensure that inbound supplies are delivered in full and to schedule.
The role will involve the overall management of product categories involving close liaison with sales/customer service and marketing groups carefully monitoring inventory levels. Reporting to the Group Fleet Manager the position will have responsibility for maintaining and developing a robust fleet management / engineering functions for the southern division of this major food processing and distribution organisation.
Providing support to the Transport and Logistics Management Teams you will be heavily involved in developing and implementing systems to achieve higher standards of compliance and safety whilst managing costs and improving operational efficiency. This will involve working within VOSA and H&S guidelines, supporting and conducting commercial evaluations with local and national suppliers, managing service agents, monitoring VOSA and OCRS information together with fleet support software and FTA on audits, benchmarking company performance. Substantial travel is involved within the role visiting divisions, working with local management teams and working cross functionally participating and leading specific projects
